Hotel Starkl

We were very happy with our choice of restaurant. The food was excellent, and the staff were very kind and friendly. The Bled cake was absolutely delicious; we even took another slice back to the hotel! The restaurant is large and spacious, as is the terrace. It's located across from the lake and has parking. Good value for money.

This hotel was just perfect, located right on Lake Bled, next to the Pletna boat station. The room was great, clean, comfortable and well designed. You feel like you are part of the history, yet, the hotel is modernly renovated. Breakfast was great too. But what really made our stay special is the team. Unfortunately, during our stay, hotel had water issues for a few hours, but they communicated so well and we prepared to move us to a hotel nearby without a fuss should the problem persisted. Luckily, it was quickly fixed and we could enjoy our stay. We just wish we stayed longer and next time try their restaurant, the menu looked really good!

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. It has a lovely location with views across the lake. Even though the room was renovated, there were certain items that could be improved. 1. The bed needs to be replaced as the futon/mattress sags in the middle. It makes for a very bad night’s sleep. 2. There should be an option for harder pillows. All the pillows provided were EXTREMELY SOFT! The next feedback regards hardware. The toilet is super small and requires quite some maneuvering. So do take note.

Starkl has a good location--about a 20 minute walk from the chaos of the tourist center. That was good. Breakfast was clean, hot and had friendly service. We had beers at the restaurant and that was nice. Our room had a balcony with a great view. However, it was the smallest room I had ever stayed in.

I’m very pleased with my choice to celebrate my birthday at this restaurant. The service was amazing and very quick. Our group of 12 all enjoyed both the food and drinks. The value is excellent, as the prices truly match the generous portion sizes. For me, the highlight was definitely the fresh trout, though I also heard plenty of praise for the steak from around the table. We all left happy and satisfied. Thank you, Starkl!!
