Antigua

The restaurant is very charming, with lovely decoration and a warm ambiance. The food was delicious, we ordered the Chateaubriand, which they flamed cook it right in front of us. The waiters were very helpful and friendly, always with a smile. We totally recommend it!

Been looking at trying restaurant Antigua in Barcelona for a while now. Managed to do it on this trip and so pleased we did. The food was impeccable. So many starters to choose from and the two we did were so good. Not as many main courses, but the one we did delivered. Lola served us and she was perfect, very natural and welcoming. I will most definitely recommend to friends and will most certainly visit again in the future.

Foods were prepared and decorated to it's perfection. Staff were friendly anf humorous. We totally enjoyed the evening. I gave one star less because we were given the table right next to the entrance door. It was quite disturbing with guests coming in and out.

My husband and I had dinner at Antigua for our anniversary tonight. The food was delicious, thoughtfully prepared and presented. Our server Alonzo provided a number of recommendations and they did not disappoint. We share 2 starters and an entree of lamb - it was so tender, I’m still thinking about it. Desert was also lovely. The vibe is great - intimate, special and the service was excellent. Alonzo was very helpful and made me feel very safe/accommodated with my peanut allergy. Definitely recommend!

We were a party of six, including seniors and kids, dining here for dinner. First, the service was excellent. The staff offered helpful suggestions on what to order, and there was no issue communicating in English. I enjoy ordering a variety of dishes, so our table felt a bit small. The restaurant itself is beautiful and has a romantic atmosphere, perfect for a date. However, for the food, I’d give it 4 stars overall. From what we ordered: the lobster soup with the little “bonbon” parcels was a hit with the kids, but I personally found the broth a bit on the salty side. The foie gras slices had a nice caramelized sweetness, which my dad loved. The truffled chicken cannelloni was ordered for the kids; the staff kindly split it into two portions for them. It has sweet potato inside, so it’s slightly sweet — towards the end it can feel a bit heavy. Personally, I really enjoyed the razor shell, but unfortunately, they hadn’t been fully cleaned of sand, and the onion flavor was a bit too strong. (Because of this, I didn’t give the food five stars.) The grilled octopus was great — flavorful and very tender. We also ordered the thin steak for two, cooked tableside. My daughter loved it, though the seniors, with weaker teeth, didn’t eat much. Even though it’s listed as a two-person portion, it felt like enough for five adults. For desserts, we were satisfied — we ordered the sponge cake and the “Crazy Chocolate,” and there wasn’t a crumb left. The coffee Americano was also quite good.
