The tapas were absolutely delicious, and the overall design and ambiance of the place were very well thought out. The restaurant has a stylish and modern interior, which makes for a pleasant visual experience. However, despite it being summer, the temperature inside was uncomfortably cold. I suspect they keep the environment that way to preserve the freshness of the seafood, but unfortunately, this significantly affected the comfort level during the meal. It was difficult to fully enjoy the experience while feeling chilly throughout. In terms of pricing, I would say the prices are fairly reasonable considering the quality of the food. The portions were satisfying, and the flavors were impressive. Still, there are a few downsides that need to be addressed. For instance, the tables are quite small, which makes it challenging to dine comfortably, especially when several dishes are served at once. Moreover, one of the most disappointing aspects was the service. The waitstaff were not very professional. In a restaurant that offers such high-quality food in a beautifully designed space, one would naturally expect the service to be equally refined and attentive. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The staff lacked coordination and training, which detracted from the overall dining experience. To sum up, this is a restaurant with a lot of potential thanks to its fantastic food and appealing decor. However, improvements in temperature control, table arrangement, and especially the professionalism of the service team are necessary in order to create a truly outstanding dining experience.
Vinitus is popular and big - so expect lots of people throughout most of the day (they open from breakfast) - it's easy to see why - fresh seafood, well prepared so the seafood features in every dish, and great tapas. We went back several times we enjoyed it so much and referred friends as well who were visiting Madrid the next week (they loved it also). We tried several dishes including the mixed seafood grill and fried seafood grill, cod salad, and churros (which are delicious and the chocolate dipping sauce is amongst the best we've tried in Madrid - much less cornflower). Service was friendly and helpful - we don't speak Spanish well and we ended up trying some new dishes accidentally (our fault I'm sure); but it was all very good and we had a good laugh when things started coming we didn't expect. For such a large restaurant located in the centre of Madrid, Vinitus offers great Spanish food in a relaxed atmosphere and is frequented by both locals and tourists. We look forward to returning.
Well made tapas. We like everything we ordered there. Service is not the best you could expect as a visitor. Probably would have a better experience if you are fluent in Spanish. Always a long line, make sure to arrive early.
Absolutely love Vintus — came two days in a row! Highly recommend the Beef Tenderloin Montadito with foie and the Grilled Red Prawns — both are absolute must-tries. Every dish we ordered was unique, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. Nothing disappointed — everything was a hit. This place truly delivers on quality and taste. A gem you don’t want to miss!
The tapas and food here in general are just okay. Will not rate it for 5 stars since there are more better places in Madrid with same price. The seafood wasn’t really well cooked and we even found a “hair” in our plate of octopus. The drinks are good but still more expensive than other restaurant or bar. May not come back again next time.
