Taberna el Sur de Huertas

Went here with a group of coworkers for a tapas-style dinner during our stay in Madrid. We ordered a variety of dishes to share. There are some vegan options, though the selection is a bit limited. Overall, the food was just okay. Nothing really stood out, and we weren’t particularly impressed. I’ve had pimientos de padrón in the original Herbón region before, and unfortunately, these didn’t quite measure up. They weren’t as soft or flavorful as they should be. The grilled veggies and patatas bravas were decent, but not memorable. On the bright side, my strawberry mocktail was excellent! We were hoping for a more standout tapas experience, especially since we’ve had better in other spots. That said, the service was genuinely friendly, which we appreciated.

Eat tasty local dishes in this laid-back and cosy bar. A real taste of Spanish cuisine with some south American twists. Dishes are also very reasonably priced compared to nearby establishments.

We randomly stopped by this bar in Madrid and ended up having one of the best meals of our trip. The paella was seriously amazing - super flavorful and cooked just right. The draft beer was also really good, super fresh and cold. And the chocolate cheesecake? Next level. Would 100% go back!

A hidden gem! Service is brilliant. Definitely a must try if in the area. Gambas, Chipirones, Berenjenas, screto Iberico, striploin, and the Paella Marisco were all brillll!

This is the pub like place , perhaps the best for a drink and small plates of food, however not the best for dining. The looks and tastes of the food we ordered was just fine enough to tame the hunger. Great location , city vibe , retro movie posters on the walls. Nice and helpful service.
