Lamian restaurant delivers exceptional Chinese fusion cuisine with a focus on expertly crafted traditional dishes. The dimsum offerings are truly amazing, showcasing the kitchen's mastery of these delicate classics. The siumai were perfectly steamed with tender pork and shrimp filling, while the hakaw featured translucent, silky wrappers encasing fresh, flavorful shrimp. The xiao long bao were outstanding - delicate soup dumplings with thin skins that burst with savory broth and well-seasoned pork filling. The udon noodle bowl was another standout, demonstrating the restaurant's ability to blend Chinese and Japanese influences seamlessly. The noodles had perfect texture and the broth was rich and satisfying, creating a comforting dish that perfectly complements the more intricate dimsum offerings. It's essential to have a reservation because the restaurant is very small, which creates an intimate dining atmosphere but also means limited seating availability. The compact space actually adds to the authentic feel, reminiscent of the small, specialized restaurants where these traditional dishes originated. Lamian successfully bridges Chinese and fusion cuisine while maintaining the authenticity and quality that makes their dimsum and noodle dishes truly exceptional. The small size only enhances the focused, artisanal approach to their carefully crafted menu.
The atmosphere is very nice and the food was delicious! Love it~
Great way to end my Madrid mini break ! Great food and great company with dry nice staff and amazing food ! We had the ceviche of corbina, cauliflower with kimchi sauce, duck with a pancake style wrap, noodles called Jackie chan is not Bruce Lee , the chilli crab, nigiri with sardines and eels, all delicious !
As Chinese people, we’ve tried quite a few things, but we’ve never had oxtail noodle soup like this before. We were surprised by the intensity of the broth—so delicious! The other dishes also won us over. The chef is incredibly kind—a clear recommendation!
One of my favorite hidden gems in my area! I’ve been coming here for years now, it is small and cozy and has very friendly staff. The must here is definitely the duck roll pancakes! Also the steamed open duck dumplings and pork Xiaolongbaos. The owner has a wine passion and offers an extensive wine list. During my last visit, I had a wonderful young eco red blend from Montsant. I’d highly recommend this place! - just off the busy main street, next to plaza España.
