We had an amazing experience at Los Montes de Galicia in Madrid! 🍷✨ The food was absolutely excellent, every dish full of flavor and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, which made us feel truly comfortable. A special mention goes to Roberto, our waiter – extremely attentive, caring, and respectful. It’s rare to find such a dedicated professional who makes the whole dining experience even better. 👏 Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Just had an amazing dinner here! The roasted cod fish was perfectly cooked—crispy skin, tender flesh, and a zesty citrus glaze that tied it all together, although a little bit salty. The beef cheek and mashed potatoes were creamy heaven, and the roasted veggies fresh and flavorful. Our server was attentive without being overbearing, making the whole experience cozy. Also for starters, octopus is completely amazing, but be aware, all dishes are large, we order 3 main course and 2 starters but it too full for us. And most importantly, services here is very good, especially thanks to Mr.Antony, he invited us a fried creamy cod, and drinks for desserts!
if you’re in Madrid and craving a truly elevated Galician dining experience, look no further than Los Montes de Galicia. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted not just with the warm, inviting atmosphere of a classic fine-dining establishment, but also with exceptional hospitality that sets the tone for an unforgettable evening. What made our visit stand out beyond the exquisite food was the impeccable service—particularly thanks to Manuel and Eloy, two waiters who transformed a great meal into a memorable one. Their attentiveness, professionalism, and genuine warmth didn’t go unnoticed. Manuel guided us through the menu with expertise and charm, offering insightful recommendations without being overbearing. Eloy’s timing was flawless—always present when needed, yet never intrusive. They anticipated our needs before we voiced them, creating a seamless dining experience. The food? Simply divine. The pulpo a la gallega was tender and perfectly seasoned, and the Lubina Salvaje was a delicate balance of freshness and bold flavor. The Tarta de Santiago was the perfect sweet note to end the evening, all paired with a bottle of their exceptional house wine. Los Montes de Galicia doesn’t just serve food—it tells a story of regional pride and culinary finesse. And thanks to Manuel and Eloy, it also tells a story of heartfelt service. Highly recommended for anyone seeking not just a meal, but a truly special day or night out in Madrid.
Bustling atmosphere located in a bustling part of the city. They have a variety of traditional classics and I personally feel like you can’t go wrong. We had the braised short ribs and the seared tuna. Both dishes were delicious and fresh. We split the house cheesecake and you can taste the love that went into it. Service was excellent. Definitely a good spot to get locale upscale fair.
Nestled in the heart of Madrid, Restaurante Los Montes de Galicia offers an unforgettable dining experience that masterfully blends traditional Spanish flavors with modern culinary artistry. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with warmth, elegance, and a touch of old-world charm. They don’t enforce dress codes ( making the guests feeling uneasy) as we were pretty causally dressed and still were given a very warm welcome unlike some French restaurant that wanted to enforce their style upon us. One of the standout elements of our visit was the exceptional service, led by Juan Jose, whose expertise and passion for his work truly elevated our meal. He had the patience of a saint while answering our questions and as well us going back and forth with our choices and he didn’t bat an eyelid nor roll his eyes, a true hallmark of an exceptional host. He didn’t just serve us, he shared the ingredients behind each dish with such enthusiasm that it felt like we were partaking in a gastronomic journey through Galicia itself. It definitely made our experience that much more enriching. The menu at Los Montes de Galicia is a celebration of the best that Galicia has to offer, with some delightful twists. We began with the pulled croaker with citrus sauce and flying fish caviar a beautifully balanced dish, with the light and delicate fish complemented by the tangy citrus and the burst of flavor from the caviar. It was a refreshing start that set the tone for the meal. We followed that with a salad of crab, tomato, and avocado mousse with black trumpet fish roe, which was a vibrant, refreshing combination. The sweetness of the crab, the creamy avocado mousse, and the saltiness of the roe made for a wonderfully layered and exciting dish. Absolutely loved it. The sole with lemon butter followed, a classic done to perfection silky, tender fish in a luscious butter sauce that was both rich and light at the same time along with the sautéed peppers and onions made it fun to chomp through. Juan was kind enough to clean it for us and made it for a fun eating exercise. Then, there was the cod in mayonnaise slab over a bed of spinach, which was both inventive and delicious. The cod was perfectly cooked, flaking beautifully under the creamy mayonnaise, and the spinach ( dehydrated and crisped) added a subtle earthiness that grounded the dish. To end the evening, we indulged in the Galician cheesecake, which was nothing short of heavenly. The rich, velvety texture of the cheesecake was perfectly balanced with a tangy sweetness. It was served with a homemade confit of passion fruit that added an exotic touch, bringing a burst of tropical flavor that paired wonderfully with the creaminess of the dessert. All in all a job very well done to the chefs and cooks at Los Montes de Galicia !! If you're ever in Madrid and want to experience authentic Galician cuisine in an upscale yet inviting setting, Los Montes de Galicia is an absolute must visit. Highly recommended for food lovers and those seeking a special dining experience!!
