La ristobottega

Nice Italian restaurant. Not too big. There are tables outside on the street. We ordered pasta with truffles. It was good but not so delicious as we tried in Rome. The staff is friendly and the service was quite fast. The place is clean with an interesting interior. An ambiance was also good.

Oh man, you know when you go somewhere and you really want to give them top marks but can't... First the food, pasta starter with cheese and ham AWESOME (nice one chef) cooked to perfection VERY tasty. Pizza I had was AWESOME again fresh amazing base loved it. The Mrs had a special salad, whilst fresh ingredients was only salad tomatoes and cheese.. sourpuss were lovely, decor, location top marks. Not so good, the service was, well, we felt we were putting the waitres out, slow service (it wasn't busy) explanation of dishes and ingredients limited, we were only asked if the meal was OK at the end when she noticed my wife had left half her plate... Would I recommend this place... yes I would, prices are good, I would try the pizza, and pasta dishes... BOOK in advance to guarantee a seat.. easy through Google maps link.

Loved this place so much we visited twice and on my birthday too. Its located behind the back of the main cathedral in a sides street. Its best to make a reservation online before hand. We turned up on visit number one and sat outside. Although there were heaters, it was chilly in March. The second time we booked in advance and ate inside. if you don't have a reservation the staff will do their best to accommodate you but you may wait around until a table becomes available. The food is excellent. There isn't a huge selection but there is a specials board. It is fantastic. The puddings are equally good. At the end of meal you are given a shot of limoncello. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Language wasn't a problem. If you going to visit a decent restaurant in Malaga - I would certainly would go for this one.
