Muy Bien! The Patacon is a MUST TRY! AND Gambas ANDDDD THE EMPENADAS! WOW wow wow! What Gem to find. Very Authentic Tapas Bar. We also shared a jug of Auga de Valencia
Went to Bar La Terraza for lunch Fantastic patas bravas a little spicy and so tasty. Tuna salad and bread with tomato’s and a play on chicken strips
I’m genuinely baffled by how this place has a 4.7-star rating. While the setting is undeniably cute, with indoor and outdoor seating, the food and overall experience were shockingly poor. The ambience was nice, and the layout had charm. The staff spoke English, which we appreciated as we’re learning Spanish and making an effort with what little we know. The negatives for us were: Aioli: Thick, congealed, and tasted more like plain mayonnaise than proper aioli. Arepas: Oily, bland, and indistinguishable in flavour. I couldn’t even tell what I was eating. Guacamole: If it was guacamole, it was unrecognizable in taste and texture. Tacos: Absolutely tasteless and impossible to finish, even though we were very hungry. Patatas Bravas: Odd taste. We tried but couldn't finish it. Hunger makes one eat things they wouldn't normally stomach! Empanadas: These were the only things remotely edible, though still far from great. The piña colada was the worst I’ve ever had. It lacked alcohol, coconut, and pineapple flavours. The drink was overfilled with ice, further diluting what was already a poor cocktail. The food arrived suspiciously quickly, leading me to believe it was either frozen or refried. This would explain the excessive grease, especially with the arepas. The prices were far too high for the poor quality of the food and drinks. It simply wasn’t worth it. This was an incredibly disappointing experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone and have no plans to return.
Wanted a location out of the sun as we had had a long day travelling from the UK being up at 3am. First day of any break is to settle, get bearings and unwind for the following couple of days. Based on reviews we took a chance. Being a Wednesday afternoon we had the place to ourselves, didn’t matter, the 2 staff, from 5 generations of the Rivera family were wonderful hosts. As they were quiet they were cleaning the place 👍 which is always good to see. For me the beers, Estrella Galicia and Cervezas 1906 (not had before 👍) were good company to provide a relaxed feel. My wife had the dry white wine which was appreciated. Will aim to come back during our break to try their food as their vegetarian options look great. Thank you ladies.
This was the best place to eat tapas and enjoy your evening. The lady that was helping us made the evening so funny and enjoyable. She made us smile we even sang songs together. That shows how much She enjoys her work. Thank you for this wonderfull evening la terraza.
