The best tomato salad in Valencia. The 35 days aged ribeye was amazing. I couldn’t believe the reviews were not as high as it should be. I would be back here anytime.
We stopped here for lunch on our last day in València after shopping and before heading to the airport, so we were hot, tired, hungry and needed refreshment before the journey home. This was such a fantastic find! We had the seafood paella and beer. The paella was delicious, the best we had while we were there, and the portion was perfect for 2 people. The beer was ice cold and refreshing. The restaurant itself is really lovely, nicely decorated and serene. The service was okay, would have been a perfect 5 out of 5 if the server was a bit more welcoming and not so aloof. Maybe it was just the language barrier? In any event, I’ll definitely go back if I’m ever back in València.
Decoration really pretty. Staff friendly. Starters were good. Main course a disappointment. How the chef is allowed to send out a plate like that , I have no idea. Seemed like they ran out of meat, and cooked what they could. The driest piece of meat, unedible..
This restaurant is very classy. Nicely decorated, upscale feel. The service was good but very uppity. Though we purposely choose high end restaurants when we eat out because we do so infrequently. There was pressure to pick our dish so they could go back to what they were doing. I order a sangria by the glass and it was absolutely delicious! The food we got was stupendous and of high quality but it lacked vegetables, which we enjoy in our meals and there didn’t seem to be options for any. I asked for my dessert to go. It included ice cream, which the waiter made sure to let me know, and I told him it was fine to please include it as I was not going far since we live around the corner. The kitchen refused to serve the ice cream to go, though the price I paid was the same. We will likely eat there again, but to go. I took pictures of our meals. One was salmon with sweet potato purée and wasabi mayonnaise. The other was suckling pig with potatoes. Both were incredible!
What a pleasure to discover and enjoy this place. The service, was pleasant, friendly and very professional. The food, brought for some dishes, goose bumps and big smiles. This place definitely makes it into our top 5 favourite restaurants in Valencia, and top 10 in Europe. It's just a wonderful ballance of everything that makes a restaurant turn you into a regular customer. We will recommend this place to our clients, our friends and to any foodie coming to Valencia. Bravo.
