Very nice spot with extremely friendly service. The menu is interesting with a new take on the classic Mediterranean fare you often find in Valencia with more of a middle eastern/Turkish style. It is a bit expensive compared to other similar restaurants in the area and the portion sizes were somewhat small for the price. The halloumi was very good, but a little on the expensive side. It’s nice to have so many vegetarian options to choose from. The plaza is lovely.
Great food and great value, quite beautiful in the evenings with the outdoor setting. Staff are always very friendly and accommodating - we never make a reservation and it is always easy to find a table. Great when you want some variety - a unique spanish/greek/asian/hispanic fusion that isn’t overcomplicated. The rear courtyard is a hidden gem. Thanks Isabella and team for another great experience!
A lovely lunch today in Valencia at La Calita. We had a selection of dishes; patatas, halloumi and goats cheese pies. The food was excellent and good sized portions without being excessive for 2 adults and a child. The staff were very friendly and politely helped with my very clumsy Spanish. The restaurant has an air-conditioned indoor area and a shaded patio. Highly recommend if you are looking for good food at a reasonable price.
Amazing restaurant with great vegetarian options and amazing service from the lovely staff. Checking in on us just enough without feeling overbearing! Super foreign friendly and the vibes are immaculate. Highly recommended to sit in the terrace area with the orange trees what a vibe
I've been eyeing La Calita for a while now, for its lovely, Mediterranean vibe, sunny terrace tucked away just behind Plaza de la Reina, and several veg options. Despite being so centric (and located just by one of the most charming streets in Valencia) it's not a touristy place - instead, one offering a creative approach to well-known tapas and dishes. The food is good, and the service - exquisite, welcoming and friendly, ensuring you feel at home; a lovely, relaxed home by the sea. The prices are slightly on the expensive side, so you might not treat yourself as often as you could - but you should try it, at least once.
