I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the restaurant Cottage Café in Geneva. A charming little restaurant with a few nice terrace tables set right in the middle of a park, almost by the lakeside in Geneva and just next to the grand hotels along the quai. The location is beautiful, with some Asian-inspired architecture in the park and shaded spots on the terrace. Service is quick and efficient, though it can feel a bit cold and impersonal given how busy the place gets. We tried a salmon rillettes tartine with avocado and a salad with smoked salmon — both well prepared, tasty, though nothing exceptional. Portions are not very large, but prices remain fairly reasonable. All in all, it’s a great spot for a quick lunch during a walk in Geneva, especially on a sunny day to enjoy the terrace. Be aware that you might need to wait a bit for a table, as it’s often crowded.
We stopped here after getting separated from our group and wow… did it ever turn around our afternoon! Fun atmosphere, great coffee, perfect location!
Cottage Café is such a charming and cozy spot in the heart of Geneva, conveniently located near the lake in a beautiful park. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with most of the seating outdoors, making it a perfect place to relax on a sunny afternoon. It’s ideal for a coffee break, a light snack, or simply enjoying a drink with friends. The menu offers a nice selection of simple yet tasty options, and the drinks are good. Service is friendly and helpful, although it can get a bit slow when it’s busy, which is understandable given how popular it is. The peaceful park setting makes it feel like a little escape from the city, and it’s great for people-watching or taking a break during a walk. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area and want a cozy, laid-back garden style café experience.
Such a lovely spot between bus area and the water, situated in a park. I got there at 11, too early for lunch but had a delicious apricot pie and juice.
Lunch for 4; went great at the terrace under the tree by the water . Food was really enjoyable, quickly served, service was fine and we felt well here. I recommend the place and I will be back
