Best cocktails in town !!! It is more a cocktail bar than a restaurant. You can choose cocktails (very well done) and take small plates to share. The quality of food is excellent. Highly recommended if you are looking for a place to have great cocktails and excellent small bites to pair with.
This Friday, we had dinner at Eat Me Restaurant. Unfortunately, our evening was overshadowed by several disappointing experiences, and the restaurant did not live up to our expectations. Positives: •The atmosphere was interesting and engaging. •The music was great. •There was a decent variety of dishes to choose from. Negatives: 1.Upon being seated, we were politely reminded that we needed to vacate our table by 9 p.m. for the second seating, which was understandable. However, during the evening, the waiter reminded us of this three more times, and by 8:45 p.m., he was practically hovering over us to ensure we were getting ready to leave. This behavior was extremely frustrating and ruined the dining experience. 2.To our shock, the glasses were not replaced at all. After drinking champagne, we were served both white and red wine in the same glasses. This is unacceptable, especially for a restaurant positioning itself as a high-end establishment. 3.After dinner, we asked to be seated near the bar. However, the waiter together with the manager refused our request, claiming it would be “too tight” for us. This was outright rude, leaving a very negative impression. In conclusion, the restaurant failed to meet the standards of a fine dining venue.
The best Geneva has to offer? I think so! What a magnificent dinner experience we had here! This place offers incredible drinks and sharing plates with flavors from all over the world. Our favorite places were “Bone-In Shanghai” and “Barcelona Bites”. The runner up was “Hit The Road Jack”. The interior and the atmosphere was really fitting and the music was really upbeat and fitting as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and will for sure come back. In the summer this place could use air conditioning but otherwise it was fabulous throughout.
I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the restaurant Eat Me in Geneva. The food options were decent but too many regional mixes and flavors in the plates result in blend and cancellation of individual flavors. A let down.
Update: after a second visit I must revise my review due to a service issue. Our waiter was unpleasant, answered our questions in short and impatient responses. Came back to the table too frequently to clear our plates when we were clearly not done eating. And the worst was when our mini burgers arrived - the waitress tipped the plate and one of the burgers fell off the plate - she picked it up using her bare hands, simply said “oops” and grabbed it with her fingers and placed it back on the plate for us to eat😳 unsanitary and frankly a bit icky. So even though the food was mostly good and the host/manager was kind and professional, this experience was enough for us to say we will not be returning. Great food, even better concept. I love the fact that you can order several small dishes and share, this way you are able to try all the flavors. They also offer a tasting menu at 89 chf each, but if you go for that you really have to be hungry. We were completely stuffed after 6 plates, and unfortunately had to skip dessert - will not make the same mistake next time! Table next to us had the cheesecake and said it was incredible. My favorites were the chicken and the gyoza. And the ribs 🤤 but really everything was scrumptious. The cocktails are perfect, our waiter’s recommendations were spot on. Great service as well. What else can I say except it’s a pity I didn’t know about this place sooner! Will definitely come back for more!
