A hidden Michelin Guide gem in Bern’s Old Town! The restaurant has a sleek, minimalist interior with soft lighting that creates a calm and stylish vibe. It has two floors — we were lucky to get a table as it filled up quickly. You can choose à la carte or go for the Carte Blanche (4 or 5 courses), including a vegan option. The chef creatively and playfulness with locally sourced ingredients creates a delectable journey. We really enjoyed the smokiness in the dishes and loved the pastries. The mains weren’t quite our taste, but that’s personal. Service was warm, friendly, and attentive as well as chefs engaging by describing the dishes served— a lovely evening overall!
Great restaurant in the old town of Bern, with a tasting menu (4 or 5 courses) and a la carte menu. They adapt the menu based on dietary restrictions, and allow different tasting menus on the same table. So very convenient for us and greatly appreciated! It was smooth and easy, and the staff was all smiles. Food was delicious and the outside terrace very nice. They also have an indoor space. Some musicians came and played, then asked for donations.
Cozy restaurant with fresh seasonal dishes. The service is great, they explain everything and speak several languages. They also make their own bread which is very tasty (although would be even better if hot!). The menu has a vegan option and it costs 120 for 5 courses or 105 for 4. The highlight was the salad, the fish and the dessert. I think they could elaborate a bit more the dishes (e.g., the asparagus or the pork), to be more memorable. I would go back again in some time considering the price (or if someone invited me)
Everything is so good! Wish we found this place on the 1st day of our time in Bern! Thank you!
Always a wonderful and fulfilling experience. This time in winter. First of all, this super friendly group that welcomes you and accompanies you through the evening. With great commitment and enthusiasm. The plates are simple and yet a wonderful journey through the season. Something to discover and savour everywhere. The wine list is also a journey to regions, some of which are yet to be discovered. The excellent ciders from the region are particularly appealing.
