Went for brunch on Sunday - extremely slow service, waited over 45 mins for the food. Low food quality, Mr Benedikt came without hollandaise sauce and the poached egg was overcooked. Pancakes were ok, but served with honey syrup despite maple syrup being stated on the menu. The service/food issues were visible throughout the restaurant, with most tables complaining about waiting time & quality.

Texas pulled beef with coleslaw on the side, sweet potato fries and lemonade. Food was fresh and delicious. Lemonade is sweet but tart, nice and refreshing for a warm day. Highly recommend!

A+. Sort of stumbled upon this place but it was absolutely fantastic. Delicious gin cocktails, zucchini fritters were incredible, chicken sandwich was a wonderful delicious mess, and the meat in the chimichurri salad was perfection. Only wish I had room for dessert!

I had a terrible experience at La Manufacture today at lunch. Although I have always recommended this place to my friends and colleagues, the service I received today was far below any acceptable standard in the hospitality industry. The waitress dropped ketchup right next to me and splattered it all over my dress. Apart from a brief “I’m sorry,” nothing else was done. I was not offered even a small gesture of goodwill — no partial compensation, no complimentary coffee, dessert, or drink as an apology. To make matters worse, the bill still included the extra ketchup that had been spilled on me. I was expecting some proactive action from the management to address the mistake, but absolutely nothing followed. As a result, I had to rush home to wash my dress and cancel all my plans for the day — and I still don’t know whether the stains will come out. Accidents can happen to anyone, and I understand that the waitress seemed like a young trainee. However, what really shocked me was the lack of any managerial effort to make things right. This left me with a very negative impression of a place I used to hold in high regard.

Lovely spot in Basel! We enjoyed the food but we expected the Hot Fury burger to be spicier! The salad bowl was great, very fresh and crunchy veggies! I will definitely visit again, also to try their brunch. The service was very good and the place was relatively calm for Sat lunch.
