Fantastic service. We arrived without a reservation, and they hosted us anyway, by shuffling a few tables and chairs. The very friendly service was matched by exquisite dishes. I recommend the steak tartare. The owner stopped by several times to chat with us. Fabulous experience!
As ever a great experience. Great food and gorgeous wine delivered by a very attentive and courteous service. The restaurant was fully crowded and larger group had a dinner, it was therefore quite loud, but.... I just can recommend
We found this lovely, quiet spot just outside of Basel center for dinner , and it was perfect. The owner recommended the meatloaf, and it was delicious—definitely a great choice. We also had the fondue savoyarde, which was super tasty and fun to enjoy. The service was top-notch, with a lot of attention and some cool stories about the dishes, which made the experience even better. Overall, it was a really enjoyable evening!
A friend of mine took me to this restaurant in late April for dinner when I visited Basel. It is in a lovely, quiet neighbourhood but it was buzzing inside the restaurant. It was quiet enough that we could have normal conversation but busy enough that we don't feel like everyone can hear our chat. The place is spacious with plenty seating around, good for family gathering or date night. The food is absolutely amazing, the bone marrow is something to die for! The owner Cyrill took great care of us and recommended a fantastic bottle of wine. The staff were attentive, friendly but not in your face. We had a fantastic night and thoroughly enjoyed everything. I would definitely visit this restaurant again in the future. Thank you Cyrill and your staff for your hospitality!
My wife and I visited this restaurant in Basel on a recommendation to try the fondue, and it truly exceeded our expectations! The fondue was exceptional, and we also enjoyed a delicious salad, perfectly cooked pork chops, and delightful ravioli – every dish was absolutely amazing. To complement our meal, we tried the Chardonnay wine, which was an excellent recommendation from the staff. Speaking of the staff, they were phenomenal! Incredibly attentive, warm, and friendly, they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, speaking to us in English and even Spanish, which we greatly appreciated. The atmosphere of the restaurant was equally fantastic – warm, quiet, and cozy, creating the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience. We were so impressed that we ended up going twice during our stay, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended – this place is an absolute gem!
