Dined at Zum Kropf on our last day in Zurich and it was a good choice! Nice restaurant for its rustic historic feels, and good dishes. We had the veal escalope, boiled beef with clear broth and chocolate mousse. The boiled beef was an interesting dish for me, tastes so hearty! Chocolate mousse was airy, perfect sweet ending. Price? Worth it for the last evening in Zurich
Very good authentic Swiss restaurant! THE vibe is really nice and the decoration original. I recommend the Wienerschnitzel and the kalbfleisch zürcherart.
Traditional Swiss foods, as they told us, are really good! We tried lamb, pork sausages, and chicken breast, which are all good! Prices are acceptable.
For proper Swiss food in Zürich, this is the place to go Zum Kropf delivered exactly what we hoped for – authentic Swiss classics in a cosy, traditional setting. The Zürcher Geschnetzeltes was excellent – rich, creamy, and full of flavour. Service was friendly and surprisingly fast considering how packed the place was. The interior has a classic charm, almost like a grand beer hall but more elegant. If you’re looking to try proper local dishes in a setting that feels like a slice of Swiss history, this is a solid pick. Quietly rated: worth stopping (especially if you’re hungry for tradition).
Delicious local cuisine dishes and beer/cider. The restaurant is also very authentic and beautiful inside. 😍
