Rheinfelder Bierhalle

We had schnitzel Zurich-style, but it was not served in its original schnitzel form. The sausage was okay, though the sauce had an unusual taste. I don’t think I would return, as you might be more satisfied trying it elsewhere. However, the service was quick.

I had a great experience at Rheinfelder Bierhalle! The chicken breast grill was incredibly delicious, tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Pairing it with the Appenzeller beer was a perfect choice; it is easily one of the best beers I have ever had, with a smooth and refreshing taste that complemented the meal perfectly. The atmosphere was lively yet welcoming, making it a fantastic place to enjoy a hearty Swiss meal. Highly recommend!

The schnitzel is awesome. So, so good. Skip the fries with the dish and go with something else - their fries are not good. Great service, fun sitting outside. They didn’t care I was solo at dinner time and gave me a table they could have seated for 4. This also came recommended by a local server earlier in the day for their schnitzel.

I was looking for a classic Swiss / German beer hall experience on Zurich and I found it here. Extensive beer list - I liked my Pilsner - and good food. Great location in an alley just off the north western tip of old town, close to other bars and restaurants. Outdoor seating looked great but it was raining so sat indoors. Had the schnitzel with a side of Rosti with cheese - both delicious. My family also had a sausage dish and a salad. Highly recommend for an authentic meal.

Great old style beerhall and good food. I enjoyed the barrel aged amber beer so much. The only downside here is too much noise. I don’t know if it is because of the acoustic of the building or about people talking so loudly but we had headache and couldn’t hear each other even we sit closeby.
