What a place. A fantastic restaurant. Not really sure what traditional Swiss food is however if this is it then great. Loved the atmosphere, food fantastic and the corn beer, GREAT! We were a walk in and when we saw all the reservations, we thought dam. However we got a table and enjoyed everything about it. Would we go again, yep.

Yes this place is crowded especially during weekends, however there was no wait time. The staff helped us secure a table quite immediately, however you have to share the table with strangers which may not be everyone's cup of tea. Food was very good. As a tourist, I wasn't really sure if it's the best Swiss food or not, but definitely worth it!

Wonderful and energetic vibe on a Friday evening. We shared our table with two other people. Very comfortable place with tasty food. My wife had the schnitzel and I had one of the more popular sausage dinners. We both had the rosti potatoes. You couldn't go wrong. We shared a house special desert. Yum. Strongly suggest making reservations!

During my recent holiday in Switzerland, I had the pleasure of dining at Zeughauskeller in Zurich—a restaurant that truly immerses you in the heart of Swiss culinary tradition. Ambience & Setting: The moment I stepped inside, I was struck by the historic charm of the place. Housed in a 15th-century armory, the interior is filled with rustic wooden tables, antique weapons, and a lively, welcoming atmosphere that reflects Swiss hospitality. What I Tried: • 🧀 Cheese and Ham Meat Cuts: A fantastic way to start the meal. The cheeses were rich and creamy, beautifully balanced with the smoky, tender ham. Perfect with a cold beer. • 🍺 Traditional Swiss Beer: I sampled their house beer, and it was excellent—smooth, refreshing, and paired perfectly with the heavier dishes. A must-try for beer lovers. • 🥩 Beef with Rice: This main course was hearty and satisfying. The beef was tender and well-seasoned, served with a flavorful sauce over fluffy rice. It’s not the flashiest dish, but it’s comfort food at its finest. • 🍰 Desserts: I ended my meal with a traditional Swiss dessert (likely apple strudel or chocolate mousse). It was the perfect sweet finish—light, not overly sugary, and beautifully presented. Service: Despite the busy evening crowd, the service was efficient and friendly. The staff provided menus in English and were happy to recommend traditional dishes. Final Thoughts: If you’re in Zurich and want a taste of authentic Swiss cuisine in a truly unique setting, Zeughauskeller is a must. Whether you’re a foodie or just curious about Swiss culture, this place offers an unforgettable dining experience.

A very good restaurant. We were here on a weekday, didn't book anything, we were offered a table right away, without waiting. The food was delicious, there were many dishes on the menu, for every taste. The service was professional and fast. The prices were not so low, but this is Switzerland, everything is expensive here )) A good medium-sized dish will cost 20-30 francs.
