A Hidden Gem in Zurich’s Old Town If you're visiting Zurich and want to experience a truly special culinary moment, Restaurant Montmartre is an absolute must. Tucked away in the heart of the charming Old Town, Montmartre is more than just a restaurant: it’s a feeling. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed into a warm, intimate space that blends an unique flair with cozy, old-world charm. What makes Montmartre truly stand out is the young and passionate team behind it. You immediately sense their drive, creativity, and dedication. The chefs are incredibly talented, serving up beautifully presented dishes that impress both the eye and the palate. Every plate is crafted with care and flavour. The staff is genuinely friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the vibe among the guests is just as relaxed and inviting – it feels like dining with friends, even if you’ve just arrived. From the fresh ingredients to the thoughtfully composed menu, everything reflects quality and authenticity. Whether you're a local looking for a new favourite or a traveller exploring Zurich – Montmartre is the kind of place you'll want to come back to again and again. Don’t miss it.
What a wonderful evening! This cozy little restaurant in downtown Zurich feels like a slice of Paris — intimate, warm, and full of charm. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home. The highlight of the night was the beef tartare — perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. Every dish was delicious, but that one truly stood out. A fantastic find for anyone looking for great food, lovely ambiance, and exceptional service. We’ll definitely be back!
Got the salmon toast thing, sourdough bread, housemade butter, and cappuccino. Toast was good but the avocado on it was more of a sauce then avocado guac (cant really remember what they described it as on the menu) but still good. Sourdough was clearly fresh and very good. Butter caught me off guard because it had a goat cheese kinda flavor, but was so good. Cappuccinos were creamy and might have been the best I’ve ever had. Great service, busy but understandably so.
What a lovely place. From friendly staff over delicious locally sourced produce. A must visit in Zurich, you can feel the passion they have for the business flowing throught their dishes. Can only recommend ❤️
This cozy café in the heart of Zurich’s Old Town feels like a little piece of Montmartre tucked into the cobblestone streets. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a quiet coffee alone with a book, or to meet a friend for a relaxed conversation. The atmosphere is warm, artistic, and unpretentious - ideal for slowing down and savoring the moment. Great coffee, charming decor, and friendly service make it a place you’ll want to return to again and again. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience a more intimate, soulful side of Zurich!
