Guide Commentary
If you want a meal that feels like home but with a little extra care, Casa del Sole is where locals slip off the main drag for something real. Tucked in a quiet corner near the center, it’s got that cozy garden vibe and warm service that makes you want to linger. The menu mixes Romanian classics with Italian touches—go for the artisanal pizza or grilled specialties, both done right. Portions are generous, prices fair, and the staff remembers your name if you come back. It’s the kind of place families and friends pick for relaxed dinners, not showy nights out. Skip the pricier beers, stick to the food, and you’ll leave happy.

Nice place and complex. Restaurant is not the best part of it. Food is little bit more expensive than at other places. Waiter recommended expensive Romanian beer. Food is delicious, the dessert was best part. I would recommend place, but restaurant needs renewal.
I don’t usually write reviews, but after my recent stay at Casa del Sole, I felt compelled to share what was honestly one of the most special hospitality experiences I’ve had—not just in Romania, but anywhere in the region. From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I felt wrapped in warmth and understated elegance. The staff greeted me like I was an old friend returning, not just a guest checking in. My room was spotless, well designed and full of charm, with just the right blend of traditional character and modern comfort. Waking up each morning to birdsong and sunlight filtering through the half roof curtains made me feel like I was in a countryside villa, not a city hotel. And let me just say—the bed was heavenly. After long days of working in Timișoara, I couldn’t wait to sink into that cloud-like mattress. I’ve eaten at many restaurants across Europe and around the globe but the food at Casa del Sole genuinely stood out. Every meal I had felt thoughtfully prepared, with generous portions and fresh ingredients. The homemade pasta was incredible, and I still dream about the sea bass I had on my second night—it was perfectly seasoned and grilled. Even something as simple as the bread was divine. But what made it even more special was the setting: I chose to eat by the pool, in the garden terrace, surrounded by flowers, twinkling lights, and soft music. It felt almost cinematic. What I loved most about Casa del Sole was how peaceful and intimate everything felt. Whether I was sipping coffee by the pool in the morning or enjoying a glass of prosecco under the stars in the evening, there was this calm that just wrapped around me. You could tell every detail had been considered—from the layout of the garden to the soothing scent in the hallways. What truly made my stay unforgettable was the team. Every person I encountered—from reception to housekeeping and restaurant staff. If you’re ever in Timișoara—don’t miss this gem. I went in expecting a nice hotel. I left feeling like I’d found a second home. ❤️ 10/10, would return in a heartbeat.
I had the pleasure of staying at this lovely hotel for a couple of days, and cannot wait to come back. The amenities are top notch with a super cool edge, the staff is beyond friendly and accommodating, and the food is amazing — you can’t miss the pizzas, the pasta, or their Long Island iced teas!
The restaurant looks very nice and cosy, the service is outstanding and the food is tasty. Variety of dishes and each one of it is worth trying it. Perfect location with a newborn because you can walk your baby outside in the private garden.
Not the best experience. Waiting time for the food was too long, even though we had a reservation and the restaurant was almost empty. The turkey with gorgonzola sauce and figs was too sweet and I could not find nor taste the gorgonzola. The mushroom risotto was the only ok part of my meal. The crepes were very plain, just some Nutella and biscuite crums in the middle, so three quarters of this dessert was just plain crepes (the Nutella was not spread just a teaspoon dumped in the middle - very odd and the worst desert I have ever had, I couldn't eat more than a few mouthfuls) All in all: expensive, mediocre food and very slow service. Don't recommend.
