We had an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish! The staff were incredibly attentive and genuinely friendly, making us feel welcome the moment we walked in. Service was impressively fast — even though the restaurant was busy, our food arrived in no time. And speaking of the food… every dish was fresh, bursting with flavour, and beautifully prepared. For two people, including a drink, a starter, two mains, and a dessert, the bill came to just £55 — which is excellent value these days, especially given the generous portions. We’ll definitely be returning soon!

Tonkotsu on Baldwin St, Bristol BS1, first time visitor. Three of us enjoyed Kakugiri ramen, Chilli Tofu ramen, and Tofu, Cauliflower & Aubergine Katsu (and some Edamame Beans with Sea Salt because, well, you just have to). Prompt, friendly ordering; service within 10-15 mins from the open kitchen. Lots of flavour in the dishes and extra chilli sauce, vinegar and soy sauce available for those that want it. Totally recommended. Tip: eating ramen is messy! Inevitably the sauce splashes so wear black or cover up!

What a surprise - ran into this joint by luck. Wish we had one also in Copenhagen. The dishes is outstanding good and the taste is like what you can expect from a place who make their own noodles.

Ramen was good, the egg and chashu probably the best I've had in Europe so far. It's a bit shame that I can't choose how the noodles cooked, I prefer harder noodles than I got. Also the amount of the soup was a little small, I have to order one more soup base for £2. And here's the problem. When I paid for my meal, the service charge already added on without notice, and the staff was quickly made me pay for it, I just saw the service charge is optional after I paid. The staff even folded the receipt so I only saw the amount without service charge. I feel I've been scammed. After asking, I ended up to get refund of it. So I give the stars back for the food instead of one star review.

We had a fantastic time today at Tonkotsu Bristol. The staff were incredibly friendly and answered all our questions. We ordered some mains as well.as some happy hour deals. The chicken wings starter was excellent. The Ramen bowls were utterly delicious! The kids bento box was also a delight. Highly recommended.
