The Ivy Clifton Brasserie

I enjoyed a wedding reception in the private dining room at the Ivy in Bristol. The staff were wonderfully warm and attentive, in particular Elsa, who looked after the entire wedding party all evening. The food was exceptional - In particular, I had blackened cod, which was cooked perfectly.

Impressively presented menu offered by this beautiful restaurant. I loved the high, gold-leaf ceiling supported by a central column and skirted with tropical engineer-diagram images, which to me were a tip of the hat to Bristol's many high tech contributions. I wish I had time to try the whole menu. My meal, an eggplant tajine, was delicious. Another highlight was the spotlessly clean and wonderfully fresh-smelling restrooms, which only added to the overall sense of quality and attention to detail. Great experience for a bithday, helped by our friendly and helpful waiter Dan R. Delicious food at very reasonable prices. Fabulous interior created from an old banking hall. Check out the vault door. Grade 2 listed. Highly recommend. For food,atmosphere and friendliness.
