The Kitchin

Absolutely exquisite dining experience with fantastic service. Attentive, knowledgeable about every dish and all food locally sourced. I couldn't fault any fish we had it was just perfect. The servers and all staff very friendly, chatty and the atmosphere was excellent. We also got to meet Tom Kitchin himself as he was going around the tables greeting and chatting to the room, very nice touch if you ask me! I'm a wheelchair user and there was a very small step/curb to get into the dining room however it was roughly the height of 2 dropped curbs so I managed it without help, the rest of the space was accessible.

The service was outstanding—the staff went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable throughout. Having dined at many Michelin-starred restaurants, I can honestly say the vegetarian tasting menu here stood out for its creativity and variety of ingredients, far beyond the typical mushroom-based dishes. Each course offered unique textures and flavors, making the experience truly memorable. The rhubarb cocktail was exceptional, and the prices were refreshingly reasonable for the quality. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a remarkable dining experience.

My husband and I dined here last week during our trip. The Kitchin was suggested at my husband's conference, so we decided to check it out! Lunch was the only available reservation, so we walked from our hotel and had a leisurely lunch. We decided to do the surprise tasting, which did not disappoint! We are from America, so we wanted to be introduced to the Scottish cuisine! If you're looking for a tasting menu with a but of everything, do this tasting menu! you won't regret it! The stafff was super sweet and attentive. Very knowledgeable. Every single dish was delicious. I have attached photos of every single one of our dishes. Like I said, everything was wonderful! We had a wonderful time and would definitely come back :) highly recommend!

An excellent meal. We have had taster meals from other places but there has always been a weak course. Not here. Every course was superb. The cocktails were also gorgeous as well.

The awards and recognition are richly deserved at this Leith gem. The seafood dishes are superb, with the combination of ingredients that tease the palate with waves of flavor. The presentations are artistic, and well presented. The staff excels. Great dinning experience!
