Thankfully the breakfast offering at the hotel I was staying at was dire, a quick online search found Cafe Wander, and what a great find it was. There were a bunch of breakfast offerings, but I had the porridge on the first day, it was so good I had it three mornings in a row. If you’re after something more substantial they do a full Scottish Breakfast, one of my fellow diners had this and was very impressed. I can also recommend the mocha. The staff were lovely, recognizing me after just the first day, while I was there, there was a constant stream of regulars picking up their orders.
This is such a lovely place! Really fast and friendly service. I had the white chocolate frappe and brioche french toast with Nutella honeycomb and maple syrup and it was incredible. Best I’ve ever had. When traveling I always like going to new places but I’ll have to break that rule next time I find myself in Glasgow. I need to come back!! In the photo also is the full Scottish breakfast - the haggis and black pudding was great to taste them side by side and appreciate the differences. Please stop by here and I hope you have as good of a time as I did.
Efficient and kind staff, great value. I had the Full Scottish (seemingly one of the only ones that adds Haggis here in central Glasgow) and it tasted great!
Great find hidden on West George St, everything from the breakfast to the coffee and cakes were top notch plus the service was quick aswell Those Morton rolls are huge by the way! My new favourite go to cafe in Glasgow
Nice breakfast/brunch spot. Service was a little slow, however it was very busy so that's understandable. Food overall was solid, although we had to correct our coffee orders more than expected. Would come back, but if it's particularly busy plan to wait since the space isn't huge.
