Sylvan

Although I asked to know what the menu would be in advance as I was going to have very limited time to have lunch during a dance workshop (and I have a vegan gluten-free diet), I was told by Colin via email that he couldn’t tell me what they would be making… I went to sylvan today only to discover that they had the one dish that I really had wanted which was polenta and mushroom (both vegan and gluten-free!). It was absolutely delicious! I took the coconut rice pudding with cherries and red wine to take out and that was also incredible. The staff were really responsive when I told them I only had a short time to eat because I then needed to return to my workshop. I was able to enjoy my meal and leave within 40 minutes. Absolutely perfect! Very happy and would highly recommend. (5 stars to the team working in the restaurant, minus star for Colin communication).

Recently became veggie, so had to try this place. Super chill vibes and the veggie dishes I had were a-ma-zing, so filling and flavourful. My non-veggie bf loved it too. Staff were super nice. Highly recommend the beansprouts with chili and garlic 😘👌

A perfect time at the Sylvan restaurant for my birthday 🎂 Good beers and wine ! The food is excellent and generous. The place is very nice too ! 🥰

Incredible food and drinks! Would recommended going as a group so you can try as many dishes as possible. We had most dishes on the menu - the smoked tomatoes with yogurt, marinated aubergine, and little gem with goats cheese were particularly delicious. Service and atmosphere were great too. Definitely one to visit if you’re in Glasgow!

Gorgeous restaurant and lovely, busy atmosphere on a Friday night. Crazy tasty vegetarian food prepared well - we ordered a lot but the stand outs were the chicory salad with hazelnuts and orange dressing, and also the smoked tomatoes and yoghurt. Great wine selection. Came with my boyfriend, will definitely be back soon. Thank you Charlie for looking after us. :)
