Great wee venue. Decent grub. Brilliant atmosphere downstairs for the gigs. Friendly staff. Expensive pint s but don't want to moan about it overall. Great place, loved it.....a few seats outside along the street, for hot summer nights..... ☀️ Highly recommended. Thank you
Lovely small venue. Very impressed with raised floor near the back. As a tall person, who doesn’t want to block others view, but whose eyesight is dodgy, it was good to be at the back and so close to the front. Tow of our party were very short women but got a reasonable view from the back. Withered Hand was excellent.
Seven quid a crap pint. Edit: Thanks to the owner for the reply. 7 quid being the current climate is one thing but if you have cheaper options maybe make the prices clearer on display. You had no hand pull beers. Good music though but I wasn't impressed sadly. As other reviews have noted, the staff weren't particularly friendly and I went in when it wasn't even busy.
Fantastic wee venue, great music and all staff 1st class and would recommend for a great night out and fresh in house pizza’s what more could you ask for.
Went to see The Ross Miller Band in The Hug and Pint on Monday 12th Aug. Met by nice welcoming staff who explained the lay out of the pub. We went downstairs to see the band in a compact room. The sound and lights were excellent and the gig was fantastic. After the gig we went back upstairs to the spacious seating area. Again excellent service from the staff from the well stock bar. Throughly good night out at The Hug and Pint.
