Unbelievable roast, we had the nicest Irish server he was amazing - fairly new there but incredible vibes and so welcoming. Delicious roast - would recommend to anyone and will definitely go back if in Glasgow again
Writing this the morning after dining and I’m still stuffed. Thoroughly impressed with the whole experience. This was a Friday night, but I recommend booking as the restaurant was full for our entire meal, which was around 2.5 hours. We sat by the window but all seating in the restaurant offered something nice. I honestly can’t say enough about this place. Very generous menu without being overwhelming, brilliant selection and they offer a great range on portion sizes depending on how hungry you are. I thought this was a very well thought out addition. We ordered two small mains, one large main and two sides, so we could try different things. We had a mix of both meat and vegetarian dishes. Every single plate was delicious, (I’m not vegetarian so tend to gravitate away from vegetarian menus… but that’s certainly not the case in this place). I’m not trying to be nice, they really were absolutely beautiful. A perfect balance of soft, delicate and some really mouthwatering punchy flavours. I would quite happily try every single thing they offer. This all alongside a great wine list with a decent price range. We fully planned on a pudding, but we’re so stuffed we went for a couple of cocktails instead. Please just trust me, and try them! Excellent! Good range of both sweet and more boozy drinks with lovely flavours and tastes. Nothing watery or underwhelming. I would also like to make a special point of highlighting the service. It really was the cherry on top. We were looked after by, Matthew, a man who really knows his trade. And just watching him at points, incredibly hard-working. His professionalism really lifted the experience and his friendliness made us feel like we had dined there a hundred times before. Attentive, but never overbearing, and always there when we needed something. What an asset to the Lovable Rogue. I highly, highly recommend!
Folks don't sleep on this place. If I lived nearby I would be here every day. Very relaxed place where you can stay and have some pints and if you get a bit hungry the food is top notch.
Went for Sunday lunch and not disappointed. Very busy restaurant with tables filled as soon as emptied. Had olives to start which were lovely then the Roast Beef. Not overcooked but a bit chewy. Sides were fab especially the Yorkies, Garlic potatoes and red wine jus. Finished with the lightest Sticky Toffee pudding I've ever had. Beautiful meal all in all. Staff very efficient and friendly Would recommend to anyone
We had the Sunday roast and brinks and 1 cocktail and it very clean and then we enjoyed owner self
