Amazing! Staff were really friendly and accommodating, they squeezed us in for a late afternoon booking and even moved us to a better table on arrival. All staff members were really happy and talkative, told us about the specials and made us feel very welcome. We ordered the mussels (special), spinach aranchini, pistachio parpadelle and the spinach and mushroom parpadelle. Everything was amazing. Super super tasty and the starters were 10/10. Tiramisu afterwards was delicious to finish it off. Also great value for money. Nice cosy resturant with a family feel. Definetly recommend!
This is a real gem of a place. A warm welcome, relaxed dining and really wonderful cooking. This is proper Italian food simply bursting with flavour. And yet although it is quite a small café/deli the kitchen turns out big flavours. You can tell they buy really good ingredients. I'm definitely going again and I really mean it. You will need to book though as it's popular.
La Piola delivered one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. We came specifically for the pasta, and it did not disappoint—each dish was freshly made, perfectly cooked, and full of rich, authentic flavor. You can truly taste the quality and care in every bite. It’s clear that La Piola takes pride in using fresh, high-quality ingredients. What really stood out just as much as the food was the amazing service. From start to finish, the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive without ever being intrusive. They made us feel right at home and ensured everything was perfect throughout our meal. La Piola is the kind of place you’ll want to return to again and again. If you’re a pasta lover, this spot is a must. Highly recommended!
Had a gorgeous time. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, the drinks were delicious and I think that is some of, if not the best Italian food I've ever had. We will definitely be back 😁
Italian cafe in a basement setting. Friendly welcome on entry. Interesting menu with lots of pasta and pizza, spoiled for choice which made choosing what to eat difficult. The food was very authentic and rustic, with everything made on site. The arancini and prawn bruschetta were both delicious, and the pistachio pappardelle was exceptional. We'll definitely be going back!!
