We discovered the restaurant by chance on a rainy day, and what a pleasant surprise! Tao is my wife’s favorite restaurant in Leeds, and whenever we’re in the city, we make a point of going there. The waiters are very polite, and the service is excellent. As for the food, yes, it’s wonderful, but what we enjoy most is the experience of eating from the hot pots. It reminds us of many places we used to eat in China. This restaurant is a unique experience, and I would highly recommend it to everyone!
Went there with my husband and kid, foods are good! They have good selection of foods! Comfy seating. Friendly staffs and owner! They have a printed copy of cooking instruction and guide, so no worries if you never have hot pot before. They also have separate serving utensils for raw meat and cooked foods. Mind that hot pot is a share cooking in a big pot, make sure your group don’t mind this dinning style. Would recommend for any occasions and definitely go back with friends.
Good taste of hotpot in town. Visit them so many times even though our latest visit had some hiccups, but the staff resolved them nicely. The manager and staff are very helpful and friendly. Surely, we will come back.
10/10 hotpot place. To start the service is IMPECCABLE, we came with a friend that had allergy and the staff was so cautious about what he could or could not eat, they even provided the menu and crossed off things that may have been a potential allergen. Our main server was a older Asian man and he was super super friendly, took all our requests and provided us such an amazing experience with his humour and service, he did the same to other tables too you could see how great his experience with the restaurant was. Definitely a significant part to the restaurant! Now for the food, the hotpot broth was said to be made freshly in house and made to order, we ordered the mushroom broth and the signature mild spicy broth, both were incredibly rich in flavours and the chefs letting us know there was no allergens in this gave us the confidence that everything was made fresh. We went for the 12-4pm all you can eat buffet and it was sooo worth it! A huge variety of meats, of different cuts and flavours and also loads of seafoods and carbs too. All prepared to top quality and the meats blew other hotpot restaurants out of the water as everything tasted to fresh and tender. Price is on the dearer side but I would definitely go again as I think it’s 100% worth. What makes it 10/10 is the combination of food, service and atmosphere. You can tell that the restaurant cares about quality of food and customers here!
This is a super option for dinner. Dim sum is stunning and the hotpot is incredible. If you haven't tried it before, the waiter will massively help you and go for the mild option if it's the first time. Absolutley worth a visit as it's good fun as well trying it out!
