Hard to even describe the experience at this West African fine dining establishment. Superlatives feel cliche. From the hand washing ceremony to the final dessert you will be transported to another culture and eat food you've likely never tasted before. You are presented with a menu when you sit down that describes the multiple courses you will receive. Mine offered an additional caviar dish for a supplement that I accepted since... Why not? The servers present each dish with an explanation of the ingredients and how best to eat it. Each server was incredible. I sat solo at the counter watching the chefs prepare the dishes. Each dish was unique and hard to even pick a favorite but there wasn't anything I wouldn't love to eat again. It's pricey for sure but you get your money's worth.
5* Food, 4* Service The food was excellent. Unique flavours in the excellent tasting menu, which left us feeling very satisfied. Good mix of fish and meats and the smaller portion sizes is made up for the large number or portions. The desserts were some of the best dishes I’ve had anywhere - we loved the Chin Chin and Black Sesame Fudge. Would recommend for those who want to experience some more refined flavours of Nigerian / West African cuisine. Pairing menu with cocktails would be a nice touch for those that aren’t into the wines as much.
There is literally nothing to be faulted about this meal. The service was so cordial and friendly, staff always attentive to every detail. They really try, and definitely deliver with the service! The food was also phenomenal, every bite was a delight and the beef and jollof rice main course is a dish I will always remember. Great wine list, just overall a great meal. Our whole party unanimously agreed this was one of our favorite fine dines in London! We are looking forward to our next revisit
One of the best culinary experiences I’ve had the pleasure of partaking in. The tasting menu went 100% from the filed, packed with flavour and influence from all of west Africa. The ambiance is sleek and clean, but the staff! The staff was my favorite kitchen staff ever. Raheem was our server and delivered knowledge, entertainment and charm, but we fell in love with the whole family vibe of the team. I will make it a point to stop by every time I step foot in London. Thank you thank you thank you
A truly outstanding experience- from the hospitality shown during the entire meal, to the presentation and thought behind the dishes- it was all so warm, welcoming, and intentional. The short lunch menu was perfect and I was so in love with the consideration and creativity that went into the vegetarian menu. Every dish was beautiful, delicious, and well balanced in flavours and in textures. It’s a coin flip whether the moi moi or jollof was my favourite course of the meal. It has easily earned a spot among my top restaurant recommendations.
