So, I had arranged to meet up with a friend to attend the local gin and rum festival, and being aware of the upcoming alcohol content, I thought it’d be wise to line my stomach with some stodge. I’d always wanted to try this Italian, it always looks so welcoming from the outside. Online it looked overbooked, but I decided to chance it anyway. We walked in and were greeted by a very typical, cheerful Italian chap (I’m guessing the manager), who welcomed us with a warm buona sera and other traditional greetings. He found us a table right away and sat us in the front. The decor was lovely, floral touches, wooden panelling, and just good vibes from all the staff. The menu was vast, with all the Italian classics plus some interesting specials. For starters, we both went for the beef croquettes with truffle mayo (from the specials board), and for mains I had the seafood risotto while my friend chose a beef pasta dish. The food was beautifully presented, tasted fresh, and came in generous portions. Service throughout was excellent, attentive without being intrusive. The manager in particular was full of charm and humour, checking in on us and cracking little jokes that genuinely made us laugh. It gave the place a really warm, authentic feel. If I’d had more time (and space in my stomach), I would have gone for dessert. Overall, though, it was a great experience, good food, great service, ( was asked if wanted to keep the service charge on too)and a brilliant atmosphere. I’d definitely return.
i came here with my boyfriend for his 18th birthday as i’d heard good reviews and the pictures of the interior looked great. the food was super yummy we ordered the bread and balsamic which was super soft and warm along with the carbonara and risotto, followed by a delicious panna cotta and tiramisu. the staff were so friendly and the atmosphere was great, i’d seen many reviews about the staff and atmosphere which were all very positive. made us smile and felt very welcome and comfortable. our lovely staff maria, rosa and stefano took great care of us and made sure we have everything we needed always available and happy to help. they added to the experience overall and i’m glad i picked this restaurant, we had a great time 😋.
Delicious food that tasted very fresh, authentic and great serving sizes. We had a limoncello spritz that took us back to the Amalfi coast. Staff were so friendly, warm and attentive and the atmosphere was so relaxed. This place is truly a hidden gem I 100% recommended the lobster ravioli which was cooked to perfection and the sauce was so flavourful and creamy. The tiramisu was the best I have tasted and as you can see the portion was very generous. The arancini were deliciously cheesy and crispy, the sauce it comes with for dipping was delicious. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu and indulge in the tiramisu once again.
Booked due to the great reviews but really don’t understand how they get such ratings. Literally the most bang average food and definitely not a great Italian spot. £4.50 for a side of tomato and onion salad and it looks like someone scraped it out the bottom of the fridge. Chef specials pasta was overcooked, to which they also agreed. LOVELY staff though and it is a genuinely nice atmosphere. Just maybe some quality control in the kitchen.
Absolutely loved this place! Vincenzo offers delicious Italian cuisine in a warm, cozy setting. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, with beautiful background music that adds to the experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and cheerful – I never felt too formal or out of place. The food was simply amazing – especially the Paccheri Ai Frutti Di Mare – it was absolutely delicious. Honestly, even when I was in Italy, I didn’t have seafood pasta as good as this one! The tiramisu and apple pie were also outstanding – fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. They offer Chef’s special dishes, which are creative and full of flavor – definitely worth trying! And if you enjoy wine, you’ll be happy to know they have a very good selection of Italian wines that pair perfectly with the food. Prices are fair for the quality you get. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a true taste of Italy with a welcoming vibe!❤️
