What an amazing dining experience! The food at Marlen was absolutely spectacular – so fresh, clean, and bursting with flavor. Every dish tasted like it was made with the highest quality ingredients and so much care. The grilled fish was cooked to perfection, juicy and tender with a beautiful smoky flavor, paired with vibrant and fresh sides. And dessert… wow! The pastry with ice cream was the perfect sweet ending – crisp, warm, and deliciously balanced with the creamy ice cream. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, making the whole evening feel extra special. If you’re in Argassi and want a memorable meal, Marlen is a must-visit. 🌟 Highly recommended!

The restaurant is very nicely decorated and has an interesting atmosphere, but unfortunately the food did not meet expectations. We came because of the excellent Google reviews, hoping for a great experience, but we left disappointed. The food arrived very quickly, but the lamb we ordered was almost cold, while the side dish – eggplant – was burnt on the grill. A recommendation for the kitchen: never cut lamb ribs in half, as it makes them much harder to eat. The octopus was also overcooked and burnt, although the side dish that came with it was very tasty and well prepared. Overall impression is that the restaurant has good ideas and interesting recipes, but the execution is quite poor. The waiters were kind and professional even though we didn’t have a reservation, but a big downside was that we didn’t receive a proper fiscal receipt – instead, we were given an improvised handwritten one. All in all, we expected much more and unfortunately left disappointed.

The food is out of this world, but what makes it unforgettable is how they explain every detail with such passion. I had the rabbit dish and honestly, it’s the best food I’ve ever eaten in Greece, maybe in my life. The filet with a touch of liver, the broth from the bones, and the croquette with cheese – everything is fully sustainable and so creative. The hand-cut potatoes, the beetroot, the Greek salad it’s just amazing. The octopus appetizer with fava was just perfect. Every bite had so much love in it. And I know I only tried a few things, but I am sure the rest of the menu has the same incredible quality. The people here are so kind, so friendly, and they make you feel at home. It’s not just dinner – it’s an experience. Truly unforgettable.

One of the best places on the island to have a great experience in dining and/or having some drinks. Perfect lighting, by the sea, full of vibes! Great customer service, the owner is the best. People there are always with a smile and every creature is welcome. Ideal for romantic nights or with your friends and family.

Come to Zakynthos— if only to experience Marlen Carrer. This July, my family and I took a trip for my father’s 80th birthday to visit the island. We came expecting beautiful views and good food but what we found at Marlen was pure enchantment. Coming from New York City we’ve been spoiled by world-class cuisine and breathtaking settings, yet we were not prepared for this. Marlen Carrer felt like stepping into a dream—where every detail of the evening, from the flavors of the uniquely film-themed cocktails to the hand-crafted light fixtures, was lovingly and thoughtfully curated. Perched on the beach, this gem has the most gorgeous sunset with the softest breeze. The staff is warm and attentive—from Antonis in the kitchen, creating exquisite dishes that burst with flavor and nuance, to Antonis on the floor, topping off your wine as he curates an effortlessly eclectic soundtrack that floats through the air. It’s impossible not to be awestruck by the restaurant’s beauty, all while feeling as though you’re exactly where you’re meant to be. It was a night we’ll never forget. We all agreed it was our favorite dinning experience to date. Make your way to Marlen. You’ll be so pleased you did.
